When I was a child, not only was I obsessed with the movie Anastasia and had all the merchandise, I used to tell people that my name was Anya. ‘Journey To The Past’ is the anthem of my childhood and there was no way I was making an album without it. ‘Summertime’ was the first song I ever learnt to sing and so really, the song that started it all! My dad taught it to me when I was only tiny and we still sing it together at most Fletcher family parties today (and you’ll hear my dad playing on the track on this very album!). The opening chords of ‘No One Else’ squeeze my soul in all the right places. ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ was the song I listened to off stage every night in Les Misérables but never got to sing. Whilst on tour with The Addams Family, Oliver and I always said we’d cover ‘You Matter To Me’ and in the nine months touring the UK (and Singapore) we never got around to it, so to make up for that, I asked him to come and record it with me. ‘What it Means To Be A Friend’ brings me right back to my early teens when things felt so much less complicated. ‘Times Are hard For Dreamers’ and ‘They Just Keep Moving The Line’ both hold the same sentiment of ploughing on with your dreams despite what others say and yet each song puts that across in a very different way. I’ve had my fair share of relationships gone wrong and I think it’s fair to say that Hamilton’s ‘Burn’ gives us all a sense of triumph over those who have romantically wronged us...and yet we’re all still dreaming for ‘Somewhere That’s Green’! And finally, ‘Let It Go’ and ‘I Won’t Say I’m In Love’ are the obligatory Disney tracks I adore that my album wouldn’t have been complete without.

Happy listening! xxx
